PERFORMANCE CENTRE
On
1st July 2008, The Badminton Academy was awarded
Performance Centre status by BADMINTON England and is now also known
as BADMINTON Essex South Performance Centre.
A
Performance Centre is split into two pathways:
The Club Pathway

Provides and environment for fun, fitness, participation, social
interaction and competition
The Performance
Pathway

Provides the same benefits as the
club pathway

Is for players (and parents) who
display a high level of commitment

Provides an environment where
talented players are challenged

Divided into 3 skill levels (Raw,
Developing and Emerging)
-
Allows movement between levels
based on an objective assessment of skill level and competition
performance

Provides an opportunity for the
most talented players to progress to the World Class Programme

partnership with BADMINTON Essex who form an integral part of
our centre.

Testing twice a year

Player Analysis 2 x per year.
This information will be shared with you and submitted to
BADMINTON England to track your progress

Playing Environments
What we will expect from you

A Motivated Individual who wants
to achieve

Competition Play
in both local and national tournaments within a reasonable
travelling distance. A personal Competition Plan will be
discussed and completed with you by a squad coach.
